The Race for Lace was started in 2009 by Travis and Lindsay Adams for their daughter Lacy who has Cystic Fibrosis. With Cystic Fibrosis, exercising the lungs is extremely important, so the family decided to create a 5K run to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in conjunction with Great Strides.
The first annual Race for Lace in 2010 raised only $2,000. In 2011, the second annual Race for Lace became more popular, and was able to raise $7,000. In 2012 the third annual Race for Lace was moved to Main Street in downtown Crestview, Florida, and raised $52,000 with 600 runners and walkers. We are hoping to continue the upward trend by growing our successful race to raise thousands of dollars to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Please consider giving additional donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To make a donation, see the Cystic Fibrosis Website.

Join us on November 14, 2015 in Crestview, Florida to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Race for Lace 5K has many categories, including Adult (18+), Children (Grades K-12), Military, and Stroller 5K, all of which only cost $25 to run. We are also hosting a one-mile Superhero Dash for children ages 3 to 12 for $15. All runners will receive one free Race for Lace t-shirt.
We cannot reach our fundraising goals with just runners alone. We are offering 10 sponsorship levels ranging from $150 to $5,000 that allow local businesses to show their support for Race for Lace. Additionally, the names of our local business sponsors will be seen by the hundreds of runners that come out to participate in the Race for Lace; no type of local advertising beats the amount of exposure that becoming a sponsor delivers.
